IPSW 4.3.3 is on it's way

Again and again as usual Apple is going to release a new software version (4.3.3) just to recover the locating bug which was found by some developers.

the developers found a .db file hidden in the iphone which stores the location of your iPhone or any apple product when connecting to a wireless hotspot or a cellular data.

The New software is expected to be released soon ... maybe 2 weeks :P

Damn we have been followed  !!!!

CLARIFICATION

All Apple products are designed in california and assembled in china ... What does it mean exactley ?

It means precisely what it says. Apple products are conceptualized, designed, tested and marketed under the brand name Apple. China lacks the technical know-how to design smart electronic gadgets but since the labor cost is dirt cheap, Apple outsources the assembly of the components to make the final product to a Taiwanese company Foxconn that has operations in China.

Remember that China lacks the technical know-how to even manufacture the components that are put into Apple products. These components come from different sources in Japan, Korea, Europe and the USA. All these suppliers send their components to the Foxconn facility in China so that the final Apple product can be assembled.

For example here's the typical manufacturing of iPhone:

iPhone Primary Contractors  - a partial list
Software and design AppleUSA
Assembly Foxconn?, Quanta, UnknownTaiwan
TFT-LCD Screen Sanyo Epson, Sharp, TMDJapan
Video processor chip SamsungKorea
Touch screen overlay BaldaGermany
Bluetooth chip Cambridge Silicon RadioUK
Chip manufactureTSMC, UMCTaiwan
Baseband IC Infineon TechnologyGermany
WIFI Chip  MarvellUSA
Touch screen control chip BroadcomUSA
CMOS chip MicronUSA
NOR Flash ICsIntel, SSTUSA
Display Driver chip National Semi, NovatekUS, TW
Case, Mechanical parts Catcher, Foxconn TechTaiwan
Camera lens Largan PrecisionTaiwan
Camera module Altus-Tech, Primax, Lite On Taiwan
Battery Charger Delta Electronics Taiwan
Timing Crystal TXCTaiwan
Passive components CyntecTaiwan
Connector and cables Cheng Uei, EnteryTaiwan

As you can see, China has no role other than providing cheap labor who would assemble the components coming from myriad sources.

The Next iPhone Will Hold 2 Models

iPhone 5 rumors increases day after day but we’ve got some enlightening information (and an image) that might help paint a better picture of what Apple’s next play in the mobile market could be you can Imagen the iphone 5 according to the rumors posted before the iPhone 5 will support A5 processor, will carry metal back, larger display, thinner bezel, iPhone 5 should be made of aluminum, with Dual-core processor, Support Dual SIM For Two Phone Lines, 12.6 Megapixel Camera - 1080p Video Recording, iPhone 5 will be Global Device supporting both GSM and CDMA connectivity rather than having separate models for each network standard.

BUT today a report says that the design of the next gen iPhone might be a little different than what we have hearing about in fact, the device could look something a little more like the image above
  • iPhone is set to radically change (“a completely redesigned handset”).
  • The sources said that the new model looks “more like the iPod touch than the iPhone 4.”
  • The phone will be thinner than the iPhone 4,
  • The iPhone 5 may have a “teardrop” shape which goes from thick to thin (something along the lines of the MacBook Air profile).
it seems that the next gen iPhone looks a lot like the iPod touch 4G as shown in the above image.

Apple's New iMacs Lineup ... NEW !

White iPhone 4 Thickness

After the release of the the white iPhone 4 on April 28th,

A person said that he grabbed a white iPhone 4 from the apple shop and wanted to insert it into a case that he already had for his black iPhone 4 and found that there's a difference between their sizes ... though the white iphone needed some extra effort to enter the case ...

the following picture proves that the white iPhone 4 is more thicker than the black one by 1mm.

UPDATE: it's not thicker than the black iPhone ... It's all the same except the camera's lens and the proximity sensor.

iPhone 4S ??

If you have iPad 2, you may notice the big difference between its speedy A5 processor compared with its predecessor A4. IPad 2 processor provide nine times the gaming performance at A4 processor in iPad 1.

Rumors about powring next generation of iPhone with A5 dual-core processor have now much prettey confirmed, as Apple has selected developers working on versions of its iPhone applications that take full advantage of the next-generation iPhone's speedier and much more powerful hardware.

Developers have been given iPhone 4 with A5 processor istead of an A4, the develpers calling it the iPhone 4S as it's identical to the iPhone 4.
" To be clear: these prototype iPhone 4S devices are not necessarily the next-generation iPhone. These phones are simply prototype units for developers to get ready for the new phone, rumored to be launching in September. The next-generation iPhone may end up looking just like the iPhone 4 (iPhone 3G-iPhone 3GS sort of thing) but we cannot confirm this. If the next iPhone does end up looking like the iPhone 4, we would assume that Apple would pack in more than just an A5. Probably an 8 megapixel camera, a world phone Gobi chips, and a few other things to spice up the package. "
Now what do you think about it ... huh ?

Apple switches from Toshiba to speedier Samsung SSDs for new MacBook Air shipments

Toshiba MacBook Air “blade” SSD

Apple’s newer MacBook Air shipments appear to contain Samsung-built SSDs versus Toshiba ones that originally shipped in the MacBook Air. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Apple made this change but it’s worth noting that our MacBook Air from late 2010 carries a Toshiba SSD and the one we purchased about a month ago carries a Samsung SSD.The Samsung SSD carries a model number of SM128C while the Toshiba drive is labeled as TS128C. To the consumer, a change in manufacter and model number may not mean much, but that’s not the full story in this situation. According to tests (chart below) the Samsung SSD is signifnacantly faster than the Toshiba version.

The interesting aspect is that the SM128C models provide quite a nice performance bump in at least one performance metric. Benchmarks posted by users show that the SM128C manages up to 260MB/s read and 210MB/s write speeds. In our tests (and corroborating what users have reported), the TS128C only offers speeds of up to 210MB/s read and 185MB/s write. The SM128C also supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ) while the TS128C does not. The performance figures match the figures of Samsung 470 Series pretty well, which Samsung quotes as providing up to 250MB/s read and 220MB/s write. The Samsung 470 Series uses Samsung’s own controller with model number S3C29MAX01-Y340.

Apple is LOCKING FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone 4s

i was surprised when i read this post on Apple's forums saying that iOS 4.3.2 locks factory unlocked iPhone 4. On Apple's Discussions forums, He NOTIFIES AND WARNS iPhone users from updating to iOS 4.3.2.

A warning out there to owners of factory unlocked iPhone 4's!! After updating to iOS 4.3 this morning, I proceeded to purchase a SIM card from another carrier and after inserting it into the phone, it was NOT recognized!! I have used SIM cards from the new carrier in the past and it seems like my handset is now locked!!

Be cautious!! If you plan on keeping your phone unlocked I would avoid installing the iOS 4.3 update until they fix this!!

DON'T TRY TO UPDATE TO 4.3.2 BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR UNLOCK.IF YOU PAID TO MAKE YOUR IPHONE FATORY UNLOCKED THEN WAIT FOR A POSSIBLE SOLUTION.

Apple to Begin Selling White iPhone 4 By the End of April?

Apple will begin selling the white iPhone 4 by the end of April, according to three BusinessInsider sources.

The new version will be available from AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless by the end of April, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans aren’t public. The release was stalled as Apple resolved manufacturing challenges, including paint that peeled under heat, one person said.

If Apple does release a white iPhone 4 it may help sustain demand for the device until its rumored update in the fall.

A recent Apple Store update removed all references to the white iPhone 4 leading some to believe it will never be released.

2.6 Million iPad 2s shipped in March, 12 Million expected in 2nd Quarter

Apple shipped between 2.4 and 2.6 million iPads during the month of March. Shipments are set to nearly double during the second quarter, according to a conservative estimate by a source:
" Sales of iPad 2 are running at a rate faster than its predecessor, and Apple took delivery of 2.4-2.6 million units in March. Apple is likely to take delivery of 4-4.3 million units a month, or a total of over 12 million units, of iPad 2 tablets in the second quarter, said the sources. "
That's a huge number of iPad 2s !!!

iPhone 5 Releasing News

A lot of people are saying that the iphone 5 will be released soon, but it's not. WELL THINK ABOUT IT !

Never think that Apple is going to kill a successive model from the market and end it's HUGE reveneus for releasing a new phone since that the iPhone 4 release date was on June 24, 2010 which is 10 months ago so it's still early though.

Apple usually makes a Conference every summer (June - July), or at the beginning of every year as mentioned recently on some sites. It means that iPhone 5 is going to be released maybe on June 2011 knowing that Apple already made a reservation from June 6th till June 10 th or at the 1st Quarter of 2012 (Fall).

Just think about it in a logic sense and you will know that it's true.

Apple Removed iPhone 4 Models From It's Online Store

It seems that Apple had removed the White iPhone 4 from it's online store for unknown reasons.

Some rumors floating around saying that the white iPhone 4 will be available on summer 2011 or maybe will be pushed till fall 2012 ... There are two speculations as to why this happened. First, Apple may have given up on the idea of the white iPhone altogether and is just waiting for the launch of the iPhone 5 to release a white version. The other idea is that Apple is creating a different white iPhone version.

iOS 4.3.2 Coming up in Two Weeks?

Apple may release iOS 4.3.2 to all users in approximately two weeks. There are several new expectations, in addition to the fix of the exploit used in iOS 4.3.1 ( Jailbreak) and some bug fixes related to recent problems with WiFi networks and FaceTime Camera application. I will notify you here, with more details when this update occurs.

Note: It's a rumore afterall and not a confirmed news. Just make sure to save you SHSH for iOS 4.3.1 and to be prepared.
